Paintings in Acrylic and Mixed Media

A Quick Glimpse by Jess Fuller

Jess Fuller describes herself as a “Lincolnshire Yellowbelly” – born, educated and still living in the county near to Grantham. After leaving college she studied drawing and painting with the Open College of the Arts before setting up her own studio in 2002.

Jess says, “Colour and form are important to my work and I like to experiment with different media, styles and subjects. I also love the big Lincolnshire skies, wide variety of landscape and nature. Much of my work is developed from photographs I have taken, which I like to manipulate and collage for different effects before sketching and putting brush to canvas. Many artists have influenced me including Kurt Jackson and the Cornish school, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keefe, Lucien Freud and Jackson Pollock.”

After opening her studio as a member of Art on the Map, showing work in exhibitions with other artists, entering competitions, completing commissions and selling to corporate and private clients throughout the country, Jess successfully held her first solo exhibition in 2010.

Her website has over 500 visitors each week from all around the world and she sells prints and cards through a US website.

“I hope you like what you see!”

The exhibition is open from Mon 04 July until Sat 09 July.  Jess will be in the gallery on Saturday 09 July between 2 pm and 5 pm to discuss her work and answer any questions.
