Phil graduated in 1973 after four years’ study at Luton School of Art and Design.  He spent seventeen years as a graphic artist for the Herald group of newspapers before working freelance for a further seven years.  In 1998 he  gave up working as an artist thinking he would never paint or draw again.  After about ten years, in 1998, he joined Life Drawing night classes and gradually started sketching again to begin a renewed artistic journey.  “In 2010 I got passion back for my craft and feel I’m learning all over again.  I love experimenting and I’m slowly regaining the freedom of creating that I had in my earlier years.”

The exhibition is open every day from Mon 22 August until Sat 27 August.
